The Eastern way is only half of the Way

Below you can find the original comment and the response given to it, which is meant to clarify my position and view of Non-Duality and overall, the Eastern way.

Nothing can get outside of everything to be separate. Everything is nothing and you can’t get outside of everything to be a thing. So heaven and hell would be the same. Emptiness is fullness, nothing is everything, whether you call it God’s imagination, God dreaming this, absolute, universe, consciousness, its all words describing the wordless that are the words and are not. I love how the Gnostic gospels describe the senses as heaven because what is an object when you take all the senses away? Nothing. The senses are the object. The senses which could be described as the infinite imagination are not a thing, but an energetic way to appear to exist, an interface to experience no-thing appearing as something. A beautiful way for that which can’t be seen, appearing to BE, which is and isn’t. The recognition that everything is this divine energy which is an involuntary energetic shift without cause or reason reveals that everything appearing to be (even the hell) is one immutable energy (God, consciousness, divine, whatever you want to call it that isn’t an it yet appears to be). There is no wrong or right way for this to be described or expressed and you can’t get outside of the whole to be a separate opinion. This heaven that is recognized includes the hell and everything that was once resisted. You are the totality which includes this video of “non-dualists”. I see the separating heaven from hell as an impersonal idea of resistance to one and acceptance of the other which creates a false duality. Nothing can actually be separate as it’s one whole swallowing itself. So even separation is not separate. Even the describing heaven and hell as separate is wholeness expressing wholeness. Can’t get outside of wholeness to distort or fragment but it can appear to be fragmented from resisting what is which is the appearance of “I”. Everything is everything which includes impersonal opinions about everything imagined. Thanks for sharing this video. Was such a fun chat and I loved reading your post about it. XOXOXO

Yes, we do exist outside of Everything and Nothing altogether. The Nothing/Everything is the Void, the Nu, The Primordial Water of Life – the substance from which everything is made out of (yes, including Hell). Still.. what most people fail to currently understand is that this nameless, shapeless substance – this ‘Nothing/Everything’.. is like the screen on our laptop. Everything that we see on the screen.. is made from the same pixels of the screen, let’s say. Even if we see a bad movie.. or a good movie.. both movies are made from pixels. Similar.. even if we experience a bad reality (Hell) or a good reality (Heaven) .. both of them are made from the same substance: the ‘Nothing/Everything’ – the Void, the Nu, the Ether. We – as True Beings – exist outside of this “screen” altogether, outside of the ‘Nothing/Everything’. We are something “else” than that.

Why is this distinction important, vital.. in my opinion?

It’s because.. “you cannot solve a problem from the same level it was created”. If you only know yourself as the ‘Nothing/Everything’ (which is a great feat to accomplish and I give Non-Dualists all the credits for this effort).. you are going to remain subjected to the endless stream of manifestations this ‘Nothing/Everything’ creates in your awareness, but with almost zero power.. of controlling how this stream of manifestations goes. You remain a benign observer of this “movie”, and that’s it. You cannot influence how the “movie” goes, and most non-dualists will most than readily jump and shout “Why would you want to control the movie? Detachment and pure observation offers the ultimate bliss”.

And this is where most Non-Dualists teachings and practices fail .. in my opinion. They stop at this blissful detachment from the content of the “movie”, without making the other (vital, in my opinion) step.. of learning how to “create the right movie”.

Basically.. the Non-Dualists and most of Eastern Spirituality only walks half of the journey, and thus.. they can never complete the purpose for why they exist as a separate, individual being.. in the first place.

Most of Eastern spirituality is about detachment and non-doing, which is a vital skill we have to master on this journey, but without also mastering the doing (the right doing!) – which the Western Spirituality has tried to do, but also failed, in my opinion – one can never truly fulfil the purpose of its existence.

In order to complete this grand purpose of our Life, one has to make a step further from the Eastern way, and learn how to also “do the right doing”. Thus, most non-dualists practitioners are like Truman, at the end of the movie, reaching the wall with the painted clouds and sky… and stopping there. Without opening the door.. and passing through it.

To truly actualise the entire purpose of our existence we need both West and East – both the Doing and the Non-Doing, both Masculine and Feminine.

We need to re-find our way to the forgotten Tradition and Science of the Heart. And currently.. this tradition is nowhere to be found exteriorly. We have to “dig it up” from the insides of ourselves – the only place where it managed to remain intact.
