How you can find a bit of restoration

Last Sunday I decided to go on a three days fast. Both a physical fast (no food) and a mental fast. I took away from my room all the technologies, my phone, my laptop, my little jbl speaker, mouse, cables, everything. Right in the moment when I finished taking all of them out I looked at the room and I felt an unexpected sense of relief. Like I could breath more easily, once again.

Then I went on to spend the next three days in quietness, doing only the most simple things.

Much clarity came back to me, also my natural sense of creativity started springing once again. I felt again more strong and confident in myself.

And I instinctively knew this is due to the lack of technology, as I’ve been physically fasting before but without feeling these effects.

I remembered more of our condition here, I wrote, I drew.

There is a definite restorative effect in being away from technology, social media and the mental field of humanity.

So now I would advise at least one day per week of no technology, so that your mind can restore itself a bit.

Also, make sure to strip away from your sleeping room as much of the technology as possible, including rooters, wires, phones, tv, laptops and other electrical devices.

You want a sleeping environment as “EMF quiet” as possible.

If possible you can also choose to spend that day in nature, in internal quietness and contemplation.

The restorative effects are visible and this is something you can own and use as a tool during these times that we are in.
