(Video) Chiron return and the birth of a new world

This video goes deeper into the mythology and symbology of Chiron, in connection with both the eclipse of April 8 2024 and the significant astrological transit known as the ‘Chiron return to the USA’ – which reigns in full effect the entire year of 2024.

I deeply recommend viewing these two videos from Chiron Last, either before or after this one.

Part 1.
Introduction to Chiron

Chiron is a small celestial body, with the approximate size of the state of Massachusetts, that was discovered on Nov 1 1977 by Charles Kowal.

This small celestial body orbits the Sun between Saturn and Uranus, with a highly eliptical orbit of around 50 years, being the single celestial body known to have an orbit in this range.

Both the orbit and the properties of this celestial body are so peculiar that astronomers had a hard time describing what it is.

First it was classified as a minor planet, then as an asteroid, then as a comet, then finally.. astronomers decided to invent a completely new category for it.. and they decided to call it a “centaur”. The title centaur was given from the greek mythology where centaurs were half-horse half-humans, a symbol for something which is neither “this” nor “that”, or both “this” and “that”.

What puzzled astronomers about Chiron is that sometimes a luminous cloud appeared around it, making astronomers think it is a comet. But, other times this luminous cloud would disappear, making astronomers think it is an asteroid.

This unusual luminous activity is also what prevented astronomers from determining the precise size of Chiron.

And the astronomy of Chiron follows quite faithfully its mythology.

“Chiron spends nearly 83 % of its orbital time between Saturn and Uranus and the remaining between Jupiter and Saturn. Mythologically Chiron is related to each of the namesakes of these three planets, being the son of Saturn (Chronus), the grandson of Uranus and the half- brother of Jupiter (Zeus).”
The cycle of Chiron by Brian Clark

Chiron has a highly elliptical orbit, which makes its movement through the zodiac somewhat irregular and unusual, staying the longest in Aries and Pisces and the least in Libra and Virgo.

Chiron’s orbit is also affected by Saturn’s gravitational influence, so with each 50 years cycle Chiron’s orbit is being irremediably changed.

Another peculiar thing is that the planetoid Chiron is supposed to have entered our solar system fairly recently, coming from the outer edges of the solar system, from what is known as the Kuiper belt (a belt of celestial bodies in the far outer solar system).

An unknown gravitational event is supposed to have pulled Chiron into our solar system, giving it the sensation of a messenger or visitor coming from “far away”.

Didier Queloz, an esteemed astronomer and Cambridge professor, states that Chiron has entered our Solar System roughly 700 years ago and due to its chaotic orbit, deviated by Saturn and other factors, Chiron might not be here in – say – 1000 or 2000 years from now.

Nonetheless, even with all this unusual behaviour Chiron has managed to join the April 8 2024 eclipse, creating a perfect alignment with the Sun and the Moon at the moment of the eclipse.

[The Sun, Moon, Chiron eclipse on April 8 2024, Image source: sky.com]

The improbability of this event left astrologers in awe, rightfully calling it an impossibility.

And still.. the impossible was made possible.

Yet, not many have understood what Chiron was about nor what this eclipse was truly about, and in this video we are going to look further at the presence of Chiron in our current world’s astronomy and astrology, as the entire year 2024 is reigned by the presence of Chiron.

To begin understanding the significance of Chiron we have to start by looking deeper into its mythology.

Part 2.
The mythology of Chiron

[Image: Jason and his Teacher by Maxfield Parrish]

In Greek mythology Chiron was a centaur – a half horse, half immortal man, a teacher, healer and mentor to many Olimpian gods and greek heroes.

The myth of Chiron speaks of an incurable wound, Chiron accidentally being wounded by a poisoned arrow – that would have killed any mortal man – but since he was immortal and he could not die, he lived with the agony of a wound unable to be cured. In the attempt to find the cure for his pain Chiron became a master healer and an alchemist, bestowing upon others the miracle of health and wisdom.

Chiron was birthed from the titan Cronus (Saturn) and the ocean nymph Philyra, coming together while Cronus was in the form of a horse. This union gave birth to a half-horse half-immortal god: Chiron.

In one version of the myth Chiron is abandoned by his parents and adopted by Apollo and Artemis – the twin Olimpian gods of the Sun and the Moon – and taught the fine arts, music, medicine, archery and hunting. It is said that Chiron exceeded in all of these arts, becoming a master at them.

If, throughout mythology, the centaurs were considered unruly, brutal, violent and uncivilised, Chiron is said to be educated, moral and wise.

[Image: Mosaic of a Battle of Centaurs and Wild Beasts, c. 120-130 AD, Hadrian’s Villa. Staatliche Museen zu Berlin]

“Centaurs were marginalised creatures: wild, unpredictable and barbaric, brandishing tree trunks, boulders and firebrands as their weapons. They inhabited a threshold between the primitive past and the civilising present. The Centaurs were creatures who lived on the margins, foreign to the city, ‘creatures at the boundaries of difference’.”
The Cycle of Chiron, by Brian Clark

“Chiron’s personality sets him apart from other centaurs in that he exhibits emotional and intellectual behaviors more closely associated with humans. He is a healer, a philosopher, and a teacher.”
https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/full/10.1086/695753

“Chiron adhered to strict moral and ethical beliefs that the other centaurs decidedly lacked. Pseudo-Eratosthenes, a first-century BCE constellational scholar, writes that Chiron “surpassed all men in righteousness.” “

“Homer calls Chiron the “wisest and most just of all Centaurs.””

[Image: Chiron and Achilles – ancient greek vase]

“Although a centaur, Chiron’s physical appearance often differs somewhat from other centaurs, demonstrating his status and heritage. In traditional Greek representations of Chiron his front legs are human, rather than equine. Chiron is also often depicted wearing clothes, demonstrating he is more civilised and unlike a normal centaur.”
https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Chiron

Besides being highly educated, moral and wise Chiron was also different from the other centaurs in that he was an immortal being.

Chiron soon became a renown master and teacher, the Olimpian gods bringing their children to be tutored by him on Mt. Pelion.

[Image: Thetis entrusts Achilles to Chiron – by Pompeo Batoni]

“A great healer, astrologer, and respected oracle, Chiron was said to be the first among centaurs and highly revered as a teacher and tutor. Among his pupils were many culture heroes: Asclepius (the god of medicine), Achilles, Jason, Medus, Heracles, etc.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiron

“In Greek myth, many young boys were lucky enough to be sent to the wise centaur, Chiron, who would raise them to follow in the footsteps of other heroes. Not only was Chiron a teacher for these heroes, but he was also a parental figure.”
https://www.thecollector.com/chiron-centaur-greek-myths/

“As a centaur — half-man, half-horse — Chiron’s form symbolized his ability to balance both the ‘wildness’ and the ‘reason’ within humanity’s soul. For the children he reared, he taught them when to control their dangerous impulses, but also when they should listen to their inner natures.”

“Chiron’s most popular topic was the heroic code, which covered honor, justice, and nobility, but he also imparted his skills of healing with medicinal herbs. As well as this, Chiron taught his charges how to play string instruments. In ancient Greek culture, music was often aligned with the soul and associations of harmony.”

“It is said that Chiron was a master astrologer, being the first to group stars into constellations, giving them names, and also inventing herbal medicine, pharmacy and surgery.”
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/hide-and-seek/202102/the-myth-chiron-the-wounded-healer

“Indeed, the name “Chiron” means “hand” (Greek, kheir) or “skilled with the hands,” and is related to our “surgeon” (kheir + ergon, “handworker”).”
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/hide-and-seek/202102/the-myth-chiron-the-wounded-healer

“Chiron’s ever-presence in the stars shows his influence and legacy. His caring nature and kindness towards children, and his consideration for their rounded education remains a concept valued by many today. Chiron taught students to balance their natures with reason, and to appreciate the creative arts with survival skills. Without Chiron, there would be fewer — or should we dare say scarcely any — heroes.”
https://www.thecollector.com/chiron-centaur-greek-myths/

The myth then continues to tell us that Chiron was accidentally wounded by a poisoned arrow that would have killed any mortal man, but since he was immortal and he could not die.. he lived with the agony of a wound unable to be cured. In the attempt to find the cure for his pain Chiron became a master healer and an alchemist, bestowing upon others the miracle of health and wisdom.

[Image: Chiron teaching magic medicine – by Gaetano Zompini]

“According to Pliny the Elder and as far back as Homer, Chiron is said to have discovered the science of herbs and drugs and to have taught Asclepius (the god of medicine) the arts of medicinal healing.”
https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/full/10.1086/695753

“Phoenix, who later accompanied Achilles to the Trojan War, was blinded by his father King Amyntor […] but Peleus brought Phoenix to Chiron, and the Centaur restored his sight.”
https://www.maicar.com/GML/Chiron.html

Searching for a final resolution to his pain, Chiron pleaded Zeus to allow him to die by exchanging places with Prometheus – the titan chained on the mountain Tartarus, perpetually being eaten alive by an eagle for giving fire to mankind – so that by doing so.. Prometheus would be freed and he would be able to die.

[Image: Chiron offers himself before Prometheus – Liebig card]

Seeing the purity of Chiron’s heart, Zeus absolved Prometheus and allowed Chiron to “die”, immortalising him as a constellation in the sky. Originally Chiron was considered to have become the constellation Centaurus, but in modern times it is sometimes considered as the constellation Sagittarius.

The connection between Chiron and Prometheus it’s also interesting to note, as both of these gods were the only ones to show a heightened moral behaviour and sympathy for humanity.

“”If the poet’s tongue might breathe the prayer that is on the lips of all, I would pray that Chiron, son of Philyra, who is dead and gone, were now alive again … and I would want him to reign again in the glens of Pelion, that rugged monster whose mind was friendly to men;””
https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/full/10.1086/695753

“Of all the very, very flawed gods, it seems like Prometheus and Chiron were some of the “best” in terms of being mostly virtuous. It’s also interesting that they were consistently self-less friends to humankind.

Further, of all the gods, are they not the ones who suffered the most pain? (Prometheus via the eagle, Chiron via the arrow tainted with the Hydra’s blood). I wonder then – if in some way their ability to feel pain is maybe what helped them empathise with, and advocate for, humanity?

It’s also interesting that they were among the least selfish of the gods – Prometheus knowingly sacrificing himself to bring fire to mankind, and Chiron giving up his immortality in exchange for Prometheus’ freedom.
Just curious how others see these figures?”
https://www.reddit.com/r/GreekMythology/comments/17289cy/chiron_and_prometheus_some_thoughts/

Yes, Chiron and Prometheus are actually linked together, as we will see further.

From the mythology of Chiron we can now see a couple of striking parallels between Chiron and Christ.

Part 3.
Parallels between Chiron and Christ

  1. Chiron was a healer, Christ was a healer.
  2. Chiron was half-horse, half-immortal god, Christ was “half” man, “half” God.
  3. Chiron is a renown mentor and teacher for the Olimpian children, Christ is renown for his welcoming of children.

[Image: The centaur Chiron receiving the infant Achilles – Antonio Balestra (1666-1740)]

“And so, Chiron became an exalted figure in Greek myth, and he would ardently raise these children, teaching them the skills to be great heroes in the future.”
https://www.thecollector.com/chiron-centaur-greek-myths/

[Image: Orthodox Church Painting of Christ and children]

“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

  1. Chiron bared an incurable pain, Christ bared the sins of humanity.

[Image: 16th century Byzantine icon of Jesus Christ as the True Vine]

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sins and live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” Peter 2:24

“By his wounds you have been healed”…

  1. Chiron asked for his own death, Christ walked willingly into his own death.

[Chiron offers himself before Prometheus, Liebig card]

“The story is also interesting because of Chiron’s ability to forfeit his immortality. As far as I know this is one of the only examples of a god dying in Greco-Roman mythology.”
https://madelinemiller.com/myth-of-the-week-chiron/

[Image: 16th century Byzantine icon of Jesus Christ as the True Vine]

“No one has taken my life away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative.” John 10:18

  1. Chiron sacrificed itself to save Prometheus, Christ sacrificed itself to save the souls of humanity.

[Image: Prometheus chained above Tartarus, in Hades/ the Underworld, image source: unknown.]

“In Greek mythology, Prometheus is honored chiefly for stealing fire from the Great God Zeus and giving it to mortals for their use. For this transgression, Zeus ordered that Prometheus be chained to a mountain crag above the pit of Tartaros for eternity.”
http://www.brahmakumaris.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2081

“Tartarus is the deep abyss that is used as a dungeon of torment and suffering for the wicked. This is the place where, according to Plato’s Gorgias (c. 400 BC), souls are judged after death and where the wicked received divine punishment.”
http://www.brahmakumaris.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2081

“Zeus refused to release Prometheus from his chains unless another Immortal could be found to complete his suffering. The saviour turned out to be Chiron, a Centaur, who descended into Hades (the Underworld) to complete Prometheus’s suffering.”
http://www.brahmakumaris.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2081

[Image: Christ’s descent into Hell, with Hellmouth, engraving by Michael Burghers (1647/48–1727)]

“In Christian theology, the Harrowing of Hell (Latin: Descensus Christi ad Inferos, “the descent of Christ into Hell” or Hades) is the period of time between the Crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection. In triumphant descent, Christ brought salvation to the souls held captive there since the beginning of the world.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harrowing_of_Hell

It is also interesting to note that in greek mythology Prometheus was the creator of human kind and symbolically him being eternally damned in the underworld can be a reflection for the souls of humanity being condemned there as well. Chiron saving Prometheus can be a direct reflection of Christ saving the souls of humanity.

  1. Chiron was allowed to die and became a constellation in the sky, Christ died and ascended in the heavens.

In the original myth Chiron is said to have become the constellation Centaurus.

[Image: Ascension of Christ, orthodox church painting]

And if the connection between Chiron and Christ still needed more proof…

“Chiron was finally able to die and was immortalised in the constellation of Centaurus, which flanks the Southern Cross.”
https://www.melaniereinhart.com/melanie/astrologyarticles/chiron-and-centaurs.php

[Image: Crux Constellation, Southern Hemisphere, Source: Stellarium.]

“Crux (/krʌks/) is a constellation of the southern sky that is centred on four bright stars in a cross-shaped asterism commonly known as the Southern Cross. It lies on the southern end of the Milky Way’s visible band. The name Crux is Latin for cross.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crux

“Crux is among the most easily distinguished as its four main stars each have an apparent visual magnitude brighter than +2.8. It has attained a high level of cultural significance in many Southern Hemisphere states and nations.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crux

“Crux lies between the constellations Centaurus – the Centaur, and Musca – the Fly.”
https://earthsky.org/constellations/crux-the-southern-cross-jewel-box/

Indeed… a ‘fly’ out from the cross.

[Image: The Ascension – by John Singleton Copley]

The centaur Chiron shown “above” the cross.

And the “shower” of connections is just beginning…

… how interesting that the constellation Centaurs is portrayed slaying the constellation Lupus – the “dog”.

Since in Chiron Last’s work it has been described that to be born again means to ‘bury the dog’.

[Excerpt from ‘A Divine Comedy’ by Chiron Last]

“In ancient times, the constellation Lupus was considered an asterism (a group of stars) within Centaurus, and was considered to have been an arbitrary animal, killed, or about to be killed, on behalf of, or for, Centaurus.

An alternative visualization, attested by Eratosthenes, saw this constellation as a wineskin held by Centaurus. It was not separated from Centaurus until Hipparchus of Bithynia named it Therion (Medieval Latin: Fera meaning “beast”) in the 2nd century BC.

The Greek constellation is probably based on the Babylonian figure known as the Mad Dog (UR.IDIM). […] Later, in Islamic Medieval astronomy, it was named السبع al-Sab’, which is a term used for any predatory wild beast.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupus_(constellation)

The same theme of “slaying the beast” can be seen with Chiron as well as with Christ’s Harrowing of Hell and with St. George’s slaying of the dragon.

A notable detail here, that appears consistently throughout these illustrations, is that the “beast” is often pierced through the mouth or throat – a direct symbol for the destruction of a a lie, a foul speech or a deceptive word.

And how interesting that in this representation the Centaur is holding a thyrsus in its hand – a magical wand atributed primarily to Dionysus. Since Chiron is mentioned to have been the teacher of Dionysus, this detail has its own significant implications.

Dionysus holding the magical thyrsus in his right hand.

[Image: Detail from the painting ‘Bacchus and Ariadne’ by Angelica Kauffman, 1794]

[Image: Thyrsus or staff of Dionysus]

[Image: Dionysian ritual procession, by David Parker]

“Dionysus is often depicted in Greek carvings and vase paintings as holding a staff, or thyrsus (θύρσος), which serves as his attribute as well as his symbol. It has been defined as “a wand wreathed in ivy and vine leaves, with a pine cone at the top, carried by worshippers of Dionysus.”
Dionysus’s Enigmatic Thyrsus, by Edward Olszewsky

The thyrsus was a magical object with which Dionysus and his followers could create water or wine from the ground and perform different miracles, while also playing an initiatory role in the Dionysian mysteries.

The fact that the Centaur uses a magical thyrsus to slay the beast, could point to the fact that the “slaying of the beast”, the “burying of the dog”, is not achieved necessarily through brutal force but through some form of “magic”, eg: internal alchemy.

(The true significance of the thrysus shall be explored in a future work.)

And another peculiar detail…

“In Arab folk astronomy, Lupus, together with Centaurus were collectively called الشماريخ al-Shamareekh, meaning the dense branches of the date palm’s fruit.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupus_(constellation)

The date palm fruit…

[Image: Image of Date Palm Tree – Pheonix Dactylifera]

“Phoenix dactylifera, commonly known as the date palm, is a flowering-plant species in the palm family, Arecaceae, cultivated for its edible sweet fruit called dates.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_palm

Pheonix dactylifera…

[Image: Phoenix, by Johfra Bosschart (1982)]

The Pheonix is a mythological bird that is said to rise from its own ashes, the most iconic symbol for being born again, death and resurrection.

[Image: Zal and Simorg – persian marquetry furniture]

“The ancient Greeks and Egyptians described a mythical bird called the Phoenix, a magnificent creature that was a symbol of renewal and rebirth. According to legend, each Phoenix lived for 500 years, and only one Phoenix lived at a time. Just before its time was up, the Phoenix built a nest and set itself on fire. Then, a new Phoenix would rise from the ashes.”
https://www.birdnote.org/listen/shows/legendary-phoenix

“The Latin word comes from Greek φοῖνιξ (phoinix). The Greek word is first attested in the Mycenaean Greek po-ni-ke, which probably meant “griffin”, though it might have meant “palm tree”.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_(mythology)

“The earliest clear mention of the phoenix in ancient Greek literature occurs in a fragment of the Precepts of Chiron […]”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_(mythology)

Here we see Chiron tied again, this time through mythology, with Pheonix – another symbol for death and resurrection.

The legendary Pheonix is said to live for 500 years. The planetoid Chiron has a cycle of roughly 50 years🙂

Actually Chiron, Christ, Prometheus and the Pheonix – all of them are just different aspects of the same symbol of death and rebirth, braking the old and opening a doorway into the new.

The nest of the Pheonix looking peculiarly similar to the crown of thorns warn by Christ on the cross, inviting further reflection on this symbol.

dactylifera = (French) dactylo = typing with the fingers

The ten commandments are said to have been written in the stones by the finger of God.

“The Finger of God is a phrase used to describe an expression of God’s power and authority. In the New Testament, it is also used metaphorically in reference to Christ’s healing power.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finger_of_God

If studied in more depth one can find that there is a strong connection between fingers (Greek: daktyloi) and the idea of dates, digits, numbers and the power of magic. For this video we will resume the finger connections here.

So in Pheonix dactylifera, the date palm fruit, we have the symbology for a “date” of death and resurrection, entitled by divine or cosmic will (“the Finger of God”).

Continuing further, both Chiron and Christ are strongly linked with the symbology of the hand. ‘Chiron’ literally meaning ‘hand’, and Christ being known as “the right hand of God” after his resurrection.

“Indeed, the name “Chiron” means “hand” (Greek, kheir) or “skilled with the hands,” and is related to our “surgeon” (kheir + ergon, “handworker”).”
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/hide-and-seek/202102/the-myth-chiron-the-wounded-healer

[Image: The Hand of God from Sant Climent de Taüll]

“The Hand of God, or Manus Dei in Latin, is a motif in Jewish and Christian art, used to indicate the intervention in or approval of affairs on Earth by God.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_of_God_(art)

“The hand of God, which encompasses God’s arm and fingers as well, is one of the most frequently employed anthropomorphisms of the Hebrew Bible.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_of_God_(art)

“In depictions of the Life of Christ, the hand often appears at the Baptism of Christ representing the voice of God, […] the hand may be seen in the Ascension of Christ, sometimes reaching down and clasping that of Christ, as though to pull him up into the clouds.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_of_God_(art)

The hand of God is again a symbol for divine authority, a form of cosmic will or order and also a symbol for magical power.

The hand is also representative of the number five, a mystical number signifying the fifth ellement and the heart. Through this number we can find the most obvious connection between Chiron, Christ, Prometheus and the Pheonix.

The significance of the number 5 goes astoundingly deep, and its meaning is going to be further explored in the next work from this series.

Now that we better understand the meaning of the chironic symbolism let’s look deeper at the presence of Chiron in our current world astrology and astronomy, as it just happens.. that since 2018 Chiron has started its return to its original position in the USA chart.

Part 4.
Chiron’s return (2018-2027)

[Excerpt from “Your Second Sight” by Chiron Last]

“When a transiting planet, point or asteroid returns to the exact degree and zodiac sign of its natal counterpart in your birth chart, we call it a “return.””
https://www.yourtango.com/zodiac/chiron-return

“Chiron is one of the slower-moving asteroids with respect to Earth, taking about 50 years to make a full transit, meaning most people experience a Chiron return only once in their lifetime, sometime around the age of 50.”
https://www.yourtango.com/zodiac/chiron-return

Every roughly 50 years Chiron concludes its journey around the Sun, and returns to its original position in a natal chart. This return marks an astrological period of revision, an end and a new beginning.

In 2011 Chiron entered the zodiac sign of Pisces, where it stayed for about 8 years, until 2018 when it started entering the sign of Aries, where it’s going to remain until 2027.

It just so happens that the United States was founded when Chiron was in Aries, so right now the United States is experiencing Chiron returning to its original position in the US natal chart.

Since 2023 Chiron moved closer and closer to its original position in the US natal chart (20° 8’ Aries), and on April 20 2024 – 12 days after the eclipse, Chiron made full contact with its original position, marking a definite “return home”.

Both on April 20 2024 and November 08 2024 Chiron is making exact alignments with its original position in the US natal chart, marking 2024 as the year of the ‘Chiron return to the US’.

A return home for US,
a return home for all of ‘us’!

The Chiron return on April 20 2024 coincided with a rare Jupiter and Uranus conjunction on the same day, which happens only once in 14 years. In astrology this conjunction is known as a bringer of revolution and change.

This revolutionary change brought by the Uranus and Jupiter conjunction on the same exact day of the Chiron return is of zero coincidence. This particular Chiron return is indeed significant.. as we are about to see.

Since 1776, the year of the United States “conception”, Chiron has made 4 other returns, the current one being the 5th.

In my opinion, this current Chiron return is a significant one, since 5 is symbolically the 5th element –
the quintessence, the union of opposites. The Heart.

And there is even a deeper connection to the number 5…

Five holy wounds before Christ died and then was resurrected…

“Chiron represents our wounds but also represents the path to healing through those wounds.”
https://soulriseastrology.com/2012/09/16/the-chiron-bridge-part-1/

“In astrology, the planet Chiron represents the seemingly incurable wound. In a more specific sense, Chiron represents one’s own particular and persistent suffering.”
Chiron Return by Dawn Cecile Walsh

The fifth return of Chiron, the fifth wound…

[Image: Phoenix, by Johfra Bosschart (1982)]

Five is also Phi-ve / Fire, tying in with the symbology of the Red Dragon, the Pheonix at the “end of times” rising from its ashes.

The one’s that have followed Chiron Last’s work might be familiar with the significance of the ‘Aries Red Dragon’, coming at the end of the 13th hidden mini age, between Pisces and Aquarius.

.. and ‘what do you know’, the planetoid Chiron (Centaurus/ ‘Pheonix Dactylifera’) just “happens” to make its fifth return to the US, exactly in the astrological sign of Aries, culminating with the eclipse on April 8 2024.

Some astrologers considering the eclipse on April 8 2024 as a marker of moving into the age of Aquarius.

[Image: Aquarius constellation, source: gettyimages]

“The total solar eclipse over North America on April 8, 2024 will be conclusive as it crosses Makanda, Illinois—ending the age of Pisces and ushering a new age for humanity, the Age of Aquarius, just as the solar eclipse in 33 A.D. heralded the Age of Pisces.”
https://astrostyle.com/solar-eclipse-conjunct-chiron-chironeclipse/

And there is another detail that further links the presence of Chiron with Aquarius.

Aquarius is rulled by Saturn and Uranus, and “it just happens” that Chiron’s orbit moves between Saturn and Uranus🙂

And to tie all of the symbology up, some astrologers consider Chiron as the head ruler of the Ophiuchus constellation – the controversial “13th zodiac sign”, between Sagittarius and Scorpio.

Ophiuchus is generally not considered part of the zodiac, although the Sun does passes through this constellation for some amount of time each year, making Ophiuchus a sort of “invisible”, non-accepted, sign.

The 13th “invisible sign”, the 13th “invisible age”.

[Image: Phoenix, by Johfra Bosschart (1982)]

Chiron’s return happens once in about 50 years, the Pheonix is mythologically known to be born again from its ashes once in 500 years..

Chiron’s return = return of the Christ / Pheonix / Red Dragon.

And if more clues were needed…

In Chinese astrology 2024 is the year of the Dragon. Last year of the Dragon was in 2012, and the next it’s going to be in 2036.

So if we put together the entire symbology of this “Chiron return” we see an “unusual force” (Chiron – the odd one, defying classification) which has “returned home” to US / “us”, from a far distant land (the outer planets, Kuiper Belt), igniting a pull towards transcending the old.. and birthing something new.

In astrology the year of the Chiron return is considered as one of the most significant in a person’s or a country’s life, being known as a period of initiation, transformation, death and rebirth.

“Chiron’s orbit is approximately 50 years. The return of Chiron to its natal placement marks an age of initiation for our modern era.

Near the age of 50 we experience a shifting paradigm where the unseen world of spirit intersects with the known world of form and reality.

At the Chiron return, the veil is lifted between the physical, mundane world and the world of spirit and a new horizon is visible. In the space between these worlds of form and spirit the healing balm for the way ahead is discovered.”
The cycle of Chiron by Brian Clark

2024 is a chironic year, where the presence of Chiron/Christ/Pheonix reigns in full effect upon all of ‘us’.

This marks a year of an incomprehensible change, a turning of the ages, a braking away from the old and setting a pathway into the new.

Part 5.
The birth of a new world

On April 8 2024 the world has experienced an unprecedented celestial event. The Sun, Moon and Chiron perfectly aligned in the sky, creating together the Grand American Total Solar Eclipse.

The chances that the planetoid Chiron, in its highly eccentric 50 years orbit, precisely aligned with the Sun and the Moon were almost zero.

The impossibility of this event, which left astrologers rightfully in awe, was here to show to all of us – in a concrete and physical, “head banging” type of way – a glimpse of the miraculous.

This was not a regular “solar eclipse”, but a union in the sky of the highest of kinds, the Holy Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – unifying in the heavens, represented in our physical plane as the Sun, Moon and Chiron created a perfect alignment together.

(In previous works it has been shown how the early christians considered the Holy Spirit to be feminine, so it’s fair to consider the Moon as the Holy Motherly Spirit.)

This union gave birth to a new destiny, a new vision and intention for Earth. A new world.

The “gates in heaven” have opened on April 8 2024, and an incomprehensible change has been brought forth for Earth and the entire humanity. This is why almost everyone witnessing the eclipse (including news reporters) showed an unprecedented display of tears, emotions, awe and overwhelm, most people being unable to say why they felt so overwhelmed.

Chiron being the catalyst, the “voice from the outer world”, the letter in the Hymn of the Pearl, that was here to mark the ending of the old vision and to ignite the spark of the new.

Similar to how Christ was sent by the Father to save the Souls on Earth, Chiron came from the distant outer planets, the invisible part of the solar system, to create a breach, to open a door.. to ignite a change in the destiny of Earth.

What is Chiron/Christ really about?

In astrology, Chiron has been described in many ways. As either a wounded healer, a shaman, a key or a bridge, to this day astrologers not being able to put their fingers firmly on what Chiron actually does.

“In keeping with it’s continual re-classification as a celestial body, Chiron’s meaning in the horoscope resists categorisation and defies description.”
Melanie Reinhart

Although astrologers agree that since the introduction of Chiron in 1977 the world of astrology has changed, since before the discovery of Chiron there was no concept of healing or of self development in astrology. It is only after Chiron has been discovered and introduced that astrology merged from a mere horoscopic science to a veritable tool of self development.

In astrology Chiron is associated with renewal, death and rebirth, initiation and transcendence to deeper levels of awareness, its symbol being a key.

Chiron is generally considered as a bridge between the visible and the invisible, known and unknown, matter and spirit.

Astronomically… the orbit of Chiron reflects this symbology, since Chiron’s orbit moves between two seemingly “opposing” planets: Saturn and Uranus.

Saturn being the last planet visible with the naked eye, and Uranus the first “invisible” planet – that can only be seen with telescopes.

In astrology Saturn being associated with the stable and concrete material world, while Uranus being associated with the revolutionary, innovative and unpredictable Spirit.

Both astrologically and astronomically Chiron reflects a bridge, a connection between what is known and what is unknown, what is possible and what is impossible, bridging these two worlds together, melding them as one.

In my opinion, though, one of the best ways to understand Chiron is as an igniter of Life. If Prometheus was the one that stole the fire from the gods to give it to mankind, Chiron is the one that strikes down the walls that imprison the Spirit, so that the Fire from within can reach us again.

Thus, Chiron acts as a transmutation agent and it is this very aspect of transmutation which is one of the most essential properties of the symbol of Fire.

Fire is not only here to burn things down, but more so to transmute and transform matter – from one state to another.

And this implies a deconstruction and a reconstruction. A death and a birth.

One of the archetypes in which I personally feel that Chiron is best represented is in the tarot card
‘The Tower’.

Here we see the essence of Chiron represented faithfully – the thick and stable tower (Saturn and the material world) is stricken down by the thunder (Uranus and the world of Spirit). A deconstruction, a “wound” which is here to reveal the truth.

It might be of little coincidence that the exact tarot card ‘The Tower’ is associated with Christ and the Harrowing of Hell.

Another cue for Chiron and Christ representing the same symbolical process.

And this is one way in which I see the undefinable essence of Chiron manifesting. With its pointing arrow precisely aiming at our hearts, braking the walls surrounding them, so that the true life from within is again revered and encountered.

An overflow of unspeakable reality pours at that moment, defeated but made anew, in the mist of a new day. A new destiny. Our true existence.

No wonder that the next card after ‘The Tower’ is ‘The Star’.
The true divine spark of Life which is re-encountered once the thick wall that surrounds our Heart has been shredded to pieces.

Chiron is the spark of Life itself, that is sent from the heavens (a unique object, a comet, an asteroid, a planet.. ? astronomers still can’t decide), so that Life is ignited in each of us. If Prometheus is the Fire, Chiron is the igniter of that flame in the hearts of human kind.

No wonder Chiron and Prometheus are linked, since Chiron sacrificed his life so that Prometheus can live.

The spark “dies”, so that the Fire is ignited.

And this is what, I believe, the return home of the Son/Sun/Pheonix truly means. The true spark of Life which is re-ignited again within us.

Right now Chiron is transiting the sign of Aries, and it’s going to remain in Aries until 2027.

Astrologically Aries is known as the sign of new beginnings, ignition and change, while also representing our core identity, the pure “I am”.

Since the Chironic energy could be represented as an energy of deconstruction and re-construction, striking the Tower and setting free the Star/Spirit, and since Aries is the astrological sign of the ‘I am’ – representing our core identity, with Chiron in Aries what we are currently experiencing is a collective deconstruction and reconstruction of identity.

The question that planes upon each individual Soul right now is…
‘Who are you, at your core?’

2024 is a Chironic year.. which mainly stands for clarifying who we are, in our deepest core truth. Whatever is going to be “found and brought home” this year.. is going to remain “set in stone” as our Soul’s core identity from now on, this is why the choices, actions and statements we make this year.. are vital and important.

A powerful, ancient, force has started to arise and 2024 is the year when the collective walls are broken down and each of us is given a chance to find our path back home to the truth of all life.

This is the year of the falling of the Tower and liberating the imprisoned Star/Spirit.

The Star, of course, is Isthar, Inanna, Shekhinah – the divine presence of God.

The Heart, the quintessence, beginning and end, alpha and omega.

The holy chalice from which the Water of Life springs forth.

And this is why, I believe, that both “Jesus” and “Mary” represent the same archetypal force – the Christ, the fifth element, the “marriage of opposites” resulting in the Star of Being.

And for the one’s that know the work of Chiron Last and the meaning of the number 88, 8+8 = 16. And 16 is the tarot card… The Tower.

The Star is also representative of the perfect vision and re-gaining again the true sight of the Heart.

A unified, perfect vision which sees the world in its correct, natural, original form.

And by seeing it in this way.. the World can be birthed again.. rising from its ashes.

What has been set into motion on April 8 2024 is unchangeable, irremediable and the effects of this event are going to percolate more and more in our physical reality. The old reality has died and the snake is soon to shade its skin.

A new vision – an ancient, organic and original one actually, has been brought forth again for Earth and the entire humanity.

The correct, original and True Vision of what we truly are.

And this correct vision is going to replace the old, distorted one, more and more from now one.

We are coming home, back to the Future!

  1. Thank you for your hard work in curating all of this material. Sifting through the site, I found many references that I have come across as well. I suspect that those of us elevated enough to understand the significance of Chiron are on similar paths. I came across the video material in Chiron last back up from another channel called owlshadow, which in turn stemmed from David Wynn Miller. Neither are around anymore. I believe your insights and wisdom are spot on but, we are all under attack; directly and indirectly…making it harder for us to connect. I have been messaging a group in Czechoslovakia through several mediums on the net..but it’s always blocked here in Japan. I hope this message gets through and I can explain more in an email. Best Wishes and keep up the fight!

    1. Hey C.W. Leadbetter,
